چکیده

Abstract This article contributes to the understanding of biobased and biodegradable polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) bionanocomposites melt processed by pre-industrial methods such as extrusion injection molding reinforced weight contents 1 3 wt% cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) derived from waste streams paper industry. Ultrasonic treatment was used for dispersion CNC, which followed transmission electron microscopy. The thermal properties crystallization behavior were studied thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning X-ray diffraction polarized optical Investigations on bending carried out in conjunction with analysis their dynamic mechanical behavior. Scanning microscopy characterize fracture surface. All these analyses give a deep insight into structure-property relationship. moisture absorption measurements gas barrier made have provided an under environmental conditions. PHB low content CNC found best quality, had positive effect almost all properties. increase crystallinity incorporation also contributed improvement In addition, show slightly lower tendency absorb better oxygen water vapor. These findings showed that are suitable use packaging Graphical

Highly filled bionanocomposites from functionalized polysaccharide nanocrystals.

Cellulose and starch nanocrystals obtained from the acid hydrolysis of ramie fibers and waxy maize starch granules, respectively, were subjected to isocyanate-mediated reaction to graft polycaprolactone (PCL) chains with various molecular weights on their surface. Grafted nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis and contact angle measurements. We observed that the nanopart...

Bionanocomposites based on poly(3-caprolactone)-grafted cellulose nanocrystals by ring-opening polymerization

A ‘grafting from’ approach was used to graft poly(3-caprolactone) (PCL) polymers to cellulose nanocrystals by Sn(Oct)2-catalyzed ring-opening polymerization (ROP). The grafting efficiency was evidenced by the long-term stability of suspension of PCL-grafted cellulose nanocrystals in toluene. These observations were confirmed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Time-of-Flight ...

Processing and Characterization of Cellulose Nanocrystals/Polylactic Acid Nanocomposite Films

The focus of this study is to examine the effect of cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) on the properties of polylactic acid (PLA) films. The films are fabricated via melt compounding and melt fiber spinning followed by compression molding. Film fracture morphology, thermal properties, crystallization behavior, thermo-mechanical behavior, and mechanical behavior were determined as a function of CNC co...

Preparation, characterization and Photo-inactivation of cellulose nanocrystals impregnated with meso-tetrakis(4-nitrophenyl)porphyrin

In this study, cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) was prepared and meso-tetrakis(4-nitrophenyl)porphyrin (TNPP) was immobilized on it. The product was identified by techniques of UV-Vis, fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), diffuse reflectance UV-Vis spectroscopy (DRS), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effect of an amount of a loaded porphyrin comp...

the comparative impact of prompts and recasts in processing instruction versus meaningful output-based instruction on efl learners’ writing accuracy

the purpose of the present study was to see which one of the two instruction-processing instruction (pi) and meaningful output based instruction (mobi) accompanied with prompt and recast- is more effective on efl learners’ writing accuracy. in order to homogenize the participants in term of language proficiency a preliminary english test (pet) was administrated between 74 intermediate students ...
